Description
Ep.01: Newly Hatched153 million years ago, in what is now the Morrison Formation of Wyoming, a baby female Brontosaurus parvus hatches from her egg. The nest was being laid on a large sand plain, perfect spot, away from predators and dangerous waterways. The hot sun warms the sand, incubating the eggs. These are part of a large nesting ground, where the herd of Brontosaurus lays its eggs on large plains, where nests lie in close proximity from each other to earn protection. This baby Brontosaurus, that we will call Berna, starts her life in this desolate landscape, for now under the protection of an unorganized adult-filled herd. In the next hours, the baby Brontosaurus will soon be able to walk and group themselves on their own and, if needed, hide on the luxuous forestlines that can be found just outside the nesting ground.
In the background other sauropods are also on their infancy. That large silhouette is not an adult Brontosaurus, but rather a juvenile Supersaurus vivianae. Although juvenile diplodocids are most commonly found in groups of animals of the same age, right now this juvenile seems to be alone, for mysterious reasons. Perhaps its brothers and sisters did not survived the hazards our Berna most likely will witness when she reaches its age.

This looks awesome! No offence, but it's a big step-up from your usual artwork (not that your usual artwork is bad, but the shading on this looks very good!).

I know exactly what you are saying and why, so I don't take absolutely no offence on it. I wanted to make this art a start for improvements, and I know exactly what you mean. I was too busy with college and stuff and so detailed things like these ones were mostly avoidable. Now that its holidays (God bless them) I have the time and the patience to give more detail and preoccupation to the artworks. And yes, I plan my artworks, from now on, at least in this small project, to have this dimension. Although that might not be possible all the time. That was one of my intentions here in DA, to slowly improve my skills as well.
Thanks for enjoying, as well.

Yeah, I know what you mean. School/college takes up a lot of time, and when you’re free, you’re like “hallelujah, I can draw what I want”. Anyways, this entry is amazing
