Heehee! I almost didn't notice Rainbow Dash, Scoots and Pinkie there! Talk about easter egg 
I got to say, I'm not one for searching for shipping or to read/draw it, but if I had to choose, it'd either be Sunset and Adagio, or Sunset and Twilight, hooves down. The dynamic between Sunset and Twi's personalities as well as their similar backgrounds and affiliation with magic is definitely intriguing and I can see why that pairing is so popular.
Anyway, back to your artwork!
Is this traditionally colored? It's amazing! I love the colors you used but even more impressive is how you add details and shading/lighting as well. Wonderful techniques! Love the details and shading on the sand/dirt and the light hitting the ocean. Even the sky is lovely! The way you emphasized the sun's rays remind me of Sara Richard's work a bit, which isn't a bad thing whatsoever.
Twi and Sunny looks great as well. You captured their personalities nicely and especially their poses. I still struggle with that here and there 
The others crack me up so much! It was a nice way to add some comic relief to the image as well as to fill some of the empty space
Such a great piece, with nice composition and art techniques

I'm really glad you like it! Basically I'm afraid of drawing backgrounds after all, but this is like the first time I'm actually happ with it, probably because it's featuring SunLight While I'm still learning do to so myself, I take references and elements from some of Andy Price's works, he's such an amazing artist !!
And I totally agree with you, but I'd go even further and say our whole Twilight is way too dark. Since it's traditional, it' pretty hard to find the perfect colours.
Seriously, Scoots looks like she's got a sunburn. All over her body.
I can't get enough of this OTP, so there'll be lots of Sunight drawings in the Futur <3333

I think if we're happy with our subject matter, it helps spark our creativity and abilities even more, so that definitely shines through your work here, and yes, the background, too. I can totally see Price's influence as well, especially in the eyes
