It didn't turn our as well as I hoped for at the beginning,
but after I started colourung and thought it would be a total failure, I'm glad it looks quite better than in my second expectation.

Sure thing. I believe in respect, and even though you may not be a fan of certain shows and characters, doesn't mean you or someone else has to be nasty or rude about it. It's all about respecting how long and hard someone worked on a pic and the quality and effort they put into it. Like I said, not a fan of the show or these two, but wow, you really put your all into this and I admire that. I wish I had half the talent you did.

You did gorgeous, skilled work on the couple. They came out beautifully, and I love their smiles, a little different but each with a cute happy blush. It's a very lovely scene and such a happy and sweet setting for the two. The colors came out beautifully too and I'm glad it photographed so nicely.

This looks amazing, and they are almost illuminated by the splashes all around, yet they are kept in clean lines. Also the rubapphire in this is AMaZiNg oh my days

Thank you! I quite love how Sapphire turned out, but I don't like the colouring of Ruby's hair and body ... the colours are too pale if you ask me.

Ah, I can see what you mean now. Personally, I do not mind that. Though Ruby is a hot-headed personality, who is made up of warm colours, which both would benefit from colour with a high intensity. I still really like the low intensity paleness of this, as I think it fits the watercolour medium and setting really well. And it makes this painting soft and pleasant on the eyes, I think.
Had Ruby been more intense in colour, it would have made the painting have a stronger, heavier and more tense feel to it. Which could have been interesting. But in my opinion, it may also have been a bit too much considering the setting. Also, I fear it could have made Ruby too much of a focal point, and made everything else kind of grey or fall into the background next to her.
But I am no artist. Also, I may be a bit biased, as I tend to prefer lighter and brighter over deeper and darker. So what do I know?
You could also rationalize that Ruby's hot-headedness had been calmed by Sapphire's cool atmosphere. And now that Ruby has been next to Sapphire for a while, the cold has started to form frost on Ruby's body, thus explaining the paleness.
I only started watching you recently, and paintings like this was exactly the kind of stuff I was hoping to see from you. This painting is also my favourite of all your submissions so far.
Hope to see you do more wonderful work in the future.

I really love the way you have coloured this piece its so vibrant and colourful!
Is it watercolour or inks? because the colour are so strong it feels more like ink
usually black outlines can over power a piece but in this painting you have really
got the right balance and it compliments the entire painting!
I think it goes without saying that you have made these two so freaking adorable

Maybe another layer of water colour or applying another layer of another
medium might help next time?
