Description
This was more or less the scene around Invesco Field at Mile High during the final day of the 2008 National Democratic Convention in Denver, Colorado. Barack Obama was giving his acceptance speech for the DNC. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get in but still decided to see a part of history. This was taken over one of the most busiest highways in Denver...fun to see it with no traffic

This is a cool looking picture...sort of eerie and creepy like maybe there was an epidemic, bombing,or toxic spill or something at the time.
I heard that security for that thing was a huge over kill and totally unnecessary! They say it basically shut down the city for no reason. They did make a huge deal out of it and a lot of people think that it cost the tax-payers a crap ton of money but that's about normal for these days...sad but true!

yep it was taken on the 23rd Ave Bridge over I-25. You can't really stop there in normal times since there is no walkway or path on that side of the bridge.

I watched part of that speech, and the whole time I was thinking "That is not going to be a good field to play on this Sunday."
