Description This is the latest version (1.2) of a widget that you could certainly use on your Windows/Mac desktop. It is a lovely piece of eye-candy as well as being useful useful in a "War of the Worlds" or steampunk styled theme. This is one of a small set of icons/widgets for your desktop, the others are a typical set of Victorian desktop acoutrements. Double-clicking on a widget will cause a personalised Windows/Mac application to fire up. The first time you run it there will be no assigned function and so it will state as such - then it will pop up the preferences so that you can enter the command of your choice. The widget takes command line-style commands for windows or Mac OS/X.

o Licence code added
o Widget can be locked in place by clicking on the brass collar
o Full menus added

The magnifier widget is a moveable widget that you can move anywhere around the desktop as you require. The widget is usable on both Windows and Macs.

o This PNG has more detail so that you can resize if you wish or use "as-is" on Rocketdock.
o The Windows ICO file is also bundled, delivered in 256, 128, 64, 48, 32 and 16 byte formats.
o Mac os/x and finder icons bundled within
o The Widget is a fully functioning widget that you can run on your desktop with the yahoo widget engine.

Widget Instructions: The widget is a Yahoo widget and it needs the yahoo widget engine. The widget functionality is self-explanatory, tinker with it and you will soon get to grips with it. Download yahoo widgets from here:

desktopwidgets.zenfs.com/4.5.2… (it has all you need to get started).

and the Mac version of the Yahoo widget engine here:

desktopwidgets.zenfs.com/4.5.2…

When you've installed the engine, simply download the widget - it will install automatically.
========================================================

Instructions for running Yahoo widgets on Mac OS/X, all recent versions including Sierra.

Edit the following file:

com.yahoo.widgetengine.plist which is in /Users/xxx/Library/Preferences. Look for these lines:    DockOpen
   false

Change to false if it is true.

Then you should be able to start Yahoo! Widgets and the menubar item should appear. Widgets can then be started from the menubar or by double-clicking them in the usual way.

Here is just one more over 250 steampunk icons that will leave your Windows or Mac desktop looking absolutely spiffing. There is a whole set of the little thingies and I must say they do look very steampunk indeed! They really are a suitable replacement for the boring old default icons that come with Rocketdock/ObjectDock &c.

This widget and the others like it will spruce up your desktop and give it a bit of Victorian class. Full instructions can be found here: lightquick.co.uk/instructions-…

The only condition for downloading and using is that you leave feedback. Please leave a message and rate the icons as it is the only payment I get for creating this small desktop addition

You may use any of my images in your own creations but commercially only with my permission. In all cases I require a credit to the original artist using my name or pseudonym and a link to my own site.

If possible, it would be nice of you'd vote for one or two of my icons on Rocketdock here: rocketdock.com/user/107284/add…

I try to keep all my stuff at room temperature, hope it isn't too cool for you. I do keep some nice warm gloves spare, just in case. Glad you like it!
