umm...how can this have a twin-turbo...I never seen an STI with a "twin-turbo"...it only has 4 pistons...I doubt it can have a twin-turbo...and at the same time have a supercharger also???...why do I smell BS?
But on the other hand the picture is quite good, it has an artistic touch

This Subaru is a twin turbo with an AMG supercharger. Here is a shot of the engine bay for you for proof, [link] The thing was ridiculously fast.

I don't know..
And the picture for the engine bay isn't working...
But I remembered that the Subbie is an H4...so it has 2 headers...
So twin turbo isn't impossible...but pointless in my opinion..
And the supercharger, yes, it has been done before, but not sure about subbies!

RX-7s came twin-charged, and you can do pretty much anything. Dont forget, you can set them up either sequentially or simultaneously.

RX-7's are Rotary powered and are completely different.
The Subaru's are single turbo because of the small displacement piston motors they have.
Now, having a supercharged and turbo car is a twin charged car and are still pretty rare.
Now.
Having a twin turbo 2.5Liter with a supercharger is not only stupid and useless, but wouldn't exactly work.
It would not work well, and would most likely make it worse.
And to the author of this picture, I still will Not believe this unless you have a working shot of the engine bay.

One Question...

That is an excellent photo. I'm really involved in rally racing around here in Washington, so I hear a lot about that company just because there is so many Subaru nuts involved.
anyway, great pic

Ahh sweet, I'm a co-driver for the events in the California Rally Series. What do you do in rally?

I can't afford to actually rally right now so I have been just helping out at events and what not. I go out and practice a lot, we have lots of forest land out here. So in a way, I do rally just not officially haha. I have an 88 Jetta and it runs great out here. I usually keep it below 60 just because its not rally prepped but I have hit 70 a few times lol. Once I get a good career and get settled in id like to start rallying an older gen Subaru. The VW is great, but the back end lets go to easy because it is so heavy. Its actually fun, but I know when I race I will get annoyed...
anyway cool to see someone who does rally on here!

It's good to learn stage rally in an older car like your VW cause the parts are so cheap for it. You might want to think of just getting another one and stage prepping it and learning on that. (or better yet, go to [link] and buy a used rally car, you get 50 cents on the dollar that way).

Of the two shots, I like this one a lot more. The perspective was damn nicely done; the sti sits there like "bam, in your face!" kind of feeling. Damn man nice shot, seriously...

Well the STi is always like a BAM in your FACE!!! kind of car. But then it goes off and leaves you in the dust. HAHA. Thanks for your comments man. Its nice to be back to DA and have people posting good comments like yourself.

Man I bet I wouldn't mind an STi damnit... I have a daily driver and nothing more, so I really can't afford to try and drag one of those things yet... :s Perhaps in the future though I'll be able to fix up something nice (I think a Nissan 240sx would make a nice project car).
No problem man, I really liked this one.
