Some collectors swear up and down that this is a temperance card (late 19th / early 20th century anti-alcohol movement) and that there is a hidden image in the steam. Some see a skull, others see a small devil or imp sitting on the edge of the bowl dangling his feet in the punch. Also they note that the clovers on the sides of the pot are upside down, as if to mean reverse/ bad luck. Victorians were really big on hidden messages, so it's possible. Most people just see a happy couple of party people.
What do you see?

Wow! This is really interesting!
Hmm... in the steam I can clearly see a young goat jumping into that bowl! Well, and also the big skull (or alien!)...

No I'm pretty bad at finding hidden things - never could play those "Easter Egg Hunt" games either!

Oh really? I can see too many non-existing (or...?) things anywhere ... You know, probably that's my only talent...

Never measure yourself by our puny human standards!
Of course you can see things we can't. You're "extra", dear alien friend!!

I don't see anything hidden, but the first thing I did think was "Ooooh, that Temperance society ain't gonna like this!"

LOL yep.  these were probably the same people that swore they saw obscene anatomy on Joe the cigarette camel's face, or played Rolling Stones records in reverse to find secret messages but there by occultists. . .
