Mount Fuji, in Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, is Japan's most famous mountain and symbol.
Five lakes -- Lake Kawaguchi, Lake Yamanaka, Lake Sai, Lake Motosu and Lake Shoji -- surround the mountain.

Fuji-san is loved for its beauty and symmetry, and its likeness has been painted and photographed by generations of artists.

The Japanese Y.M.C.A. published cards like these for allied armies stationed overseas. The old-style Y red triangle hallmark is imprinted on the reverse side with a best wishes message to troops in both French and English.
