The crumbling - and sucking - sound. The cold, icy hand of fear and despair clutching my heart. The Void slowly catching up with me.
I am huddled in a ball in the middle of a floating hunk of dirt, grass and stone. A sheep is baaing next to me, but I refuse to open my eyes and witness its clueless, instinctive fear. The horrifying, swirling SWWUUOOOOOOOOOUUOOO sound of the Void eating away at the world, an ocean of black rising and swallowing the last pieces of land.
Somewhere, I collect the courage to look up. My eyes are red and wide with fear. Tears are streaking down and dropping silently onto the grass.
I let out a low whimper, something that sounded more animal than human. I could have faced my fate philosophically, I could have stood courageous and unflinching before my unstoppable doom, I could have made a clever comment before allowing the Void's dark hands envelope me and suck me into eternal pain.
But what would the point be?
Crick. Crruuuuuck. CrrUNCHHhh. SWWOOOOAARRRR.
There was never anyone other than me in the world. I was alone.
I still am.
I have nobody to be brave in front of, nobody to impress, nobody to admire me and look up at me.
And even if there was, he'd be gone by now. All that was left was a slowly degrading, solitary island in an endless sea.
Block by block. One meter at a time. A crunch every time it ate away at what will be the last place I will have visited.

Crrrck. Crruuuunch. A bone-jarring sensation with every block destroyed. Only a few more minutes to go.
I wish there was someone here to feel this with me. At least I wouldn't die alone. With every block the Void sucked into its icy depths, I felt a bit of my soul go with it. Because this was my world.

I had bound myself to it, and it had bound itself to me. We had become one. I had built things beyond my wildest dreams. It had supplied me with infinite opportunities, minerals, animals.
The sheep baas again, this time crazily, screaming - at least as far as a sheep can scream - and jumping around nervously.

My eyebrow creases. I have less than a second to be confused before a pain- a pain so intense, running through my legs, and I see that my legs are gone because now there's just black, but it's not just my legs, I realize, it's up to my chest in nothing now and- and- and-
