I didn't want to draw the typical black death robe and who says that Death likes black, right?

Hmm, this is gorgeous! I love the choice of colors, and the lighting from the candles! The playful mood is created with such, but the perfect amount of blood and skulls also create the danger and creepiness that should be expressed with Death and the Devil. It's unique-- definitely not what you'd expect from a picture with such a title. Well done! Definitely a well-deserved DD.

Aside from the skull-and-hooded figure, I've always thought of Death as being blood & opulence, and this captures that pretty accurately. Interesting to see that you've still kept the scythe.
