Description
The name Medusa lives in infamy. Once human, now a heartless monster that leaves any who look her in the eyes as lifeless statues. Or at least, that's the story the Greek gods would tell you. The truth is much more complex than that, but Chibi and his friends weren't told the whole story when the goddess Artemis arrived in Zuniko and offered a bounty for Medusa's head. A hefty payday and one less monster running around hurting people seemed like an easy win-win for the gang. Unfortunately, Medusa's curses make death, and by proxy assassination, impossible. Whether or not Artemis knew this beforehand isn't clear. But now the gorgon queen has a bounty she needs to pay off, and a group of statues to get out of the way...

Here's a first for me, someone actually thought I'm good enough to request some art from. I can't help but feel a little flattered, plus this made for a good excuse to practice working on petrifying effects in my art. I had a pretty good time making this and I feel like it helped me grow a little. And as you can tell by that "part 1" I'm planning to have a follow-up to it in the near future.
