Although I am not a huge fan of "soft" pieces like this, I must admit the overall effect is really nice. The color shades are very much Spring, and the choice of outfit and its details also give off the same spirit of new leaves coming to bloom.
A great deal of extra 'effects' have been added on top of the main artwork, like the floating shards, mist and light rays which give the picture a very nice feel of lightness and mystery. This couples with the distorted/out of focus background to really highlight the woman as a passing spirit of Spring, awakening the world to a new year of life.
Taking her as a spirit of Spring, however, and speaking purely from a metaphorical point of view, perhaps her bust could have been a little smaller as it has yet to fully "bloom" as in mid June. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w… " width="15" height="15" alt="

The outfit looks very nice and the transparent under-skirt is a really nice addition. The corset is also very nicely done and the texture effect on it is superb. Very nicely done!
The only things I feel like are a bit 'lacking' in this picture are the details on the lady herself. Her outfit, her hair and all that are very well done, but her skin and face appear a bit lacking in detail. The shading itself is solid, but I cannot shake the feeling that her skin is somehow more 'detailed' around her bust and then far less so the further away one gets. Whether this is a deliberate effect or not, I cannot tell, but it does only seem to apply to her skin, rather than other details like her clothing.
Another thing I might have added a little more of would be the light rays coming from the upper left corner. The effect is very nice, but right now they appear to be coming from "nowhere". Adding a little more length or such to imply them filtering in through the canopy of a nearby tree (perhaps the main trunk of the tree behind her) would tie her better into the picture, in my opinion.
Beyond those things, I cannot see much else to 'complain' about. It is a nice Spring picture for what I hope is a lovely spring to come!

I love to try different effects and still in search of my style. Here I specifically wanted to try a softer painting.

I thought so. I wonder how what effect such a style would have a figure with a longer or fuller skirt? Like a princess gown like skirt. I know you dont normally do subjects like that. However I think that could be an interesting experiment.
