Personality Traits:
Alameda sort of hates everyone, but once she gets to know someone will start opening up more. She's very sarcastic and witty and likes to talk back to people.
She doesn't really care much about people, and at night tries to clear her mind of what she learned about people that day. Ala doesn't usually succeed, but the next time she sees someone she hasn't seen for days, weeks, anything over a night she acts as if she doesn't know them at all.
Alameda doesn't react very flamboyantly, she will mostly just roll her eyes at scary things and glare at things that make her mad. When she's happy she usually just lessens her frown, unless it makes her so ecstatic that she smiles.
However, if someone or something threatens a person or thing she loves, she will get more emotional. She always carries around a dagger somewhere on her, and uses it if things get too rough. If she doesn't need to, though, she prefers hand-hand combat. She only fights if necessary, though.
Behavior:
~Ala absolutely loves bats, and will usually try to pet one (softly, of course) if she sees one.
-Ala despises the smell of meat, and will usually have to go outside if someone brings meat into the room she's in.
~Ala likes to crumple paper and then rip them into shreds, which she then throws up and dances in as if it's raining.
-Ala hates getting her feet wet. A lot. She'll do almost anything to not get her feet wet, including wearing ridiculously large rain-boots if she can't find hers.
~Ala loves the heat of fire, and will sort of drift around a campfire if she sees one, no matter who's there.
-Ala dislikes dog, because she thinks they're too messy, and will sort of shun someone if she finds out they have a dog.
~Ala loves dancing, and will try to find any excuse to dance.
-Ala hates fighting, and will only do so if necessary to help someone she loves.
Ability/Curse/Hobby/Skills:
- Alameda has the ability to manipulate ash, but with one cost. Touching ice drains her energy for about 1-10 minutes, depending on the amount of ice. This may not seems bad, but in a fight it can be lethal.

History:
Alameda was born in her family's small cabin at the edge of a large pond. Upon her birth her family's neighbors took it upon themselves to build a community garden, dedicated to Alameda. You see, there was a strange magic cast that spread across her village that made it impossible for anyone who was in the village on that day to give birth, but on the last day of every year it went null. All magic has a weak spot! Ala happened to be born on December 31st, the last day of the year. Her birth was a sign of hope to everyone in the village, for then they all saw that it was possible to continue their family and bring new life into the world. Her parents were very thankful, and as a thanks for the gift they vowed to help nourish the garden every day, unless they cannot for some special reason.
At the age of three Ala started to help with the garden, too, and learn all about the herbs being grown there. She always asked for herbal remedy and herbal brew books as presents, but rarely got them. From her parents she got things to help her be safe, from the rest of her family feminine things such as makeup and dresses, and from her friends things they knew her parents would disapprove of. Mostly stolen goods such as expensive candies and random daggers. As Ala's friends knew, she secretly trained with knives and daggers so she could protect her loved ones if needed. Her parents were weak, and she didn't know if her friends would be capable of protecting themselves. Alameda also worked at carving weapons, but didn't have as much natural skill at that as she did with fighting. Then, one day when she was thirteen she found a pile of ash at her doorstep. Annoyed, she muttered "Argh, who the heck put this there? I wish it'd just fly away," so the ash whirled up into a tiny tornado and whisked away into the pond. Surprised, Ala went back into her house and tested to see if she could figure out what happened. She slid into a kneeling position next to the fireplace and whispered "Gather into a neat pile in the back-left corner of the fireplace and stay there," at which point the ashes did just that. Content, Ala went to write a note to her parents. "Mother, Father. I've gone out to visit my friends, I'll be back in time for dinner. We might go help with the garden, so if you really need me try going there. -Alameda." then left to go tell her friends about what she had just found. Since that day, she's always been careful around ash, but has trained herself as much as possible so she could use her powers constructively to the max.
Until she was fifteen, Ala was in school. But at fifteen, she dropped out. She decided to explore the world, or at least the mountains near her village. She got delayed, however, when her mother developed a sudden illness. She had to stay with her for six years, and by that time she was twenty-one and a lot more anti-social. She hadn't interacted with many humans for years other than merchants and her parents, and sort of became sick of humans. Her friends were still in school for half the time, so she grew apart from them. Most of her time was spent on the garden and making herbal soups and such for her mother. But then, one day, on her way to the garden she stopped to think about something. While she was thinking a rabbit hole opened up below her, and she dropped down into Wonderland. The only thing she was carrying was her lighter, since she took that everywhere. Landing, disoriented, she took in her surroundings. And then... Well. Then her life in Wonderland began.
Other:
- Ala always carries around or finds some way to create fire near her, so she can use her ash manipulation. She also usually carries around wood if she knows she'll be going somewhere without wood.
- Alameda keeps wondering if she'll ever see her parents again, something that chips away at her every single day.
- She is still uncomfortable around other humans and humanoids, but hides it in a shell of sarcasm and wits.
- Ala really likes green, brown, the sort. Earthy colours.
