An all around amazing work! One of the first things that caught my attention was the chipped paint marks in the man's armor, such as on his kneepads and knuckles as well as the killcount marks and the Zerg head on his left gauntlet. You've also managed to capture the lighting effects of those flashlights near his collarbone which must have been difficult to do with traditional tools. His hair is also well rendered as I can see the highlights stand out against the dark grey background.
I have used paper with some tooth before but do you find it easier to work with watercolor paper? I'm curious because the drawing seems to be too "smooth".

Thank you for your comment
I used this paper because it is bright white and hot press. Since it's hot press, the surface is smooth finished. Another reason is the size, I wanted to draw on something big. I also used blenders a lot to blend most of the areas, except the dark spots, which makes the drawing looks much more smooth, and makes the pencil particles "eat in" the paper.

I've used blenders before and wished I'd known about them when I was first starting to draw. They make everything look better.

Very Impressive! The amount of detail that went into this is incredible- you can see everything from the wrinkles on his brow to the subtle scratches of damage on his gun, all of the lines and edges are very crisp and clean. The highlighting, while also subtle is easily deciphered from lighter tones in the coloration on the armor. The lighting seems flawless, as do the markings- such as the logo on his right shoulder, and the warning stickers on his gun. The only thing I would like to see is greater contrast. While their is a large difference between the darkest and lightest shades, I still feel as though it could be 20% darker. That isn't to offend you in any sense, just to my eyes this piece looks a little washed out or muted, as if someone turned down the saturation. I would love to see more of your work though- it's simply astounding!

Time very well spent! Keep it up. (Also had a look at earlier work of yours and progress is very visible. Hope you feel the same way about your own work, take care!)

Thanks. Yeah, I was very ambitious to do this drawing. It really was a big jump from where I was.

In e few months/years you'll be able to pull this off in a third of the time you spent on this one I'm sure Not that the time matters but time/quality is a pretty nice stick to measure with for oneself I think

What really took long was many things going on in life and the drawing was keep being postponed

Life (and work, depending on where you work) are the most time consuming parts indeed. I would give a lot to just be able to only do my thing. Unfortunately, people need a: survival money, b: social contacts every once in a while
Do not underestimate progress though, always try to make a list of what you would like to accomplish the next few years and keep the scratched items nearby so that every once in 3 to 5 years you can look back and see what you actually did get accomplished and pull some pride out of that .
In the meantime, all the best over there! Just keep on keepin' on!
