Beautiful capture, lovely light, and as someone else remarked, red and green is a nice mixture. My favourite, actually. Some feel sick by green on red. For me, it's a kick. Makes me feel wide awake.
Nikon D40? How come? What happened to your very employable Canon? Or is this just an intermezzo with a borrowed tool?

red and green is my favourite complementary pair 
She (the model in the photo) had a D40 with a wonderful prime lens and i had to give it a go

You'll be very fine with your Canon and the 85 lens. While I have used Nikons most of the times in the past - and still use them today gladly - I was always a bit envious when it came to certain Canon camera types. They seem to have that tiny bit more of clarity that can make all the difference. Digital Nikons do have many advantages, but I always feel that the shooting results have a tendency to be a little muddy. Well, I shoot RAW, so Lightroom is helpful in tidying things up.
And you are spot on with green and red - it's a truly strong contrast, but to my eyes, truly harmonious too. It seems we can do without pink and baby blue.
