This is a sort of tribute to the first series.
Since I ship them but I totally refuse to picture them in a shonen-ai/yaoi situation because it's not canon (yeah... I'm a weird fangirl...), I want to point out that the red string of fate isn't necessarily about THAT KIND of LOVE.
And I drew this because anyway NO ONE could be more linked by their fate than how much these two are, in my opinion... 
I really enjoyed drawing this. XD I used this photo st.depositphotos.com/1465849/3… (and I modified the legs and Rin's pose) as a reference for the pose and I unshamedly copied the shoes from the artbook (though drawing the other shoe of each pair's been pretty complicated... X°D). No references for the faces and I'm ABSOLUTELY HAPPY about the result!!!!!
I'm not gonna draw those tracksuits again. THOSE DETAILS ARE HELL. And the more I look at Haru's left hand the more I realize it's wrong.
Too late, I guess...Done in PaintToolSAI and Photoshop CS5 (texture, brushes and water effect).

I really love how you see their love from season 1. I think however people see them it's fair to say their relationship changed quite a bit from 01 to 02, so naturally that love ought to reflect such substantial change.
I say this because I know you've been less than thrilled with Rin's face in the past--well done! Gorgeous job with the poses too. If you don't mind my asking: Did you use a reference for Haru's legs/feet? I'm having trouble drawing that pose myself at the moment so any help would be terribly appreciated.

about Haru's legs, I used a photo as a reference, but the 2 guys were in the same poses, back to back, with bended legs and both the feet on the ground. I changed Rin's position so that he could put his head on Haru's shoulder and I changed his legs, and I changed Haru's left leg. I don't know why I drew it like that but I liked that and I drew that! XD
