Birthday gift for an IRL friends who doesn't have an online presence so I can't tag her, but she's sweet <3 Her name is Zeinab and this is a portrait of her as a forest spirit!
This piece is very unusual from me - for may reasons: I usually don't do portraits of IRL people, I don't enjoy doing art for birthdays (because if I did for all the people I know, I would literally spend all my art time making birthday gifts all along the year), and I usually don't paint, especially not in such a quality!

I'm very proud of myself here. I was recently looking at my art gallery and saying to myself that, being in my seventh year of art, I should be able to pull up pieces with a better quality. And then I made this, which corresponds to what I'd be happy to make more often! I used like a hundred of references for this one, for the face, pose, horns, hair, even the outfit. Among the references, there was a pic of her, and the famous pic of Marylin Monroe, where she laughs and is a little backwards like this. I know that my next pieces won't have this quality, because I'll calm down a little after that ahah - but I hope to be able to do that again in the future. I seriously need to work on anatomy tho, because that's what took most of my time here (you have no idea how many times I used liquify to fix the proportions ;n; )
