"Bucho Mio... I can't believe how fat I'm getting. Apparently, according to my old man, the reason is because I'm a Hekkachonk; meaning I put on weight easily thanks to a gelatinous ooze in my belly that absorbs anything I eat and add to it. No wonder I feel like nothing but jiggle lately. Weird, huh?"Yep, Zephyrites like Kodai, Odin, Goliath, and Mapocha are a part of a subspecies of Zephyrite known as Hekkachonks which, as Kodai explained, put on weight easily. However, this weight isn't exactly body fat; rather, it's a jelly-like enzyme that causes all food and drink to be absorbed and added to it. Meaning that these Zephyrites have to eat quite a lot if they want to obtain the necessary nutrients to power their massive bodies. Hence their rotund bodies. However, this enzyme is rather useful as it aids in Zephyrite reproduction. Supposedly, the enzyme is mixed into their reproductive system and makes a male Zephyrites sperm more potent. As a result, Hekkachonks are highly coveted by female Zephyrites for their... *ahem* amazing sperm.
