"I am the guardian that stands watch, ready to defend the world from evildoers! The symbol of light and hope for a world blanketed by darkness! I fight for justice! For truth! For my friends! I am... The Rainbow Sentinel!"

So a while back, I got inspired to make a Tokusatsu-inspired OC... despite the fact that I'm not the biggest fan of Tokusatsu. Yes, I'm weird.

This man, guys, gals, and non-binary pals, is Konki Yasuhara, a former Sentinel Hero who was a part of a team of Sentinel Heroes who defended the earth from interdimensional foes. He was at one point the weakest of the team, but even so, he formed a deep camaraderie with his teammates. So much so that he was absolutely devastated when his entire team was killed when fighting against a monster strong enough to destroy the planet. In a cruel twist of fate, their sacrifice was necessary to awaken "The True Sentinel", their power and experience that was infused in their transformation trinkets transferring into his own. Unfortunately, Konki was so traumatized by these events that he vowed never to fight as a Sentinel ever again. Too bad for him that the world is now threatened by evil once again and he is called to defend it once again as The Rainbow Sentinel, warrior of justice and truth.

As for Konki himself, he's pretty aloof and grumpy, trying to keep people at a distance to avoid getting too attached to anyone lest he feel the pain of losing someone again. He also tries to be a "normal person", hiding his past as a Sentinel from the public; however, it tends to slip out every so often. Thankfully, it comes across as him being a Tokusatsu otaku which saves him a bit of dignity. That said, with evil on the rise once again, there's no guarantee that he'll be able to hide this side of his life forever...
