Description Gublox landed heavily upon his bottom as he let out a massive belech and allowed his stomach to settle and begin digestion. It had been more than a few hours since they left the tavern and Gublox had eaten more than his fill of food, which was obvious given his bloated state. He had never eaten this good before. At least, not since being ejected from his tribe. After allowing the tavern the opportunity to listen to his “belly drum”, everyone began offering to pay for his meal as compensation for his performance. And as one could see, it was money well spend.

“Gaaahhhh…” Gublox sighed, his breathing labored and heavy as he felt his stomach push up against his lungs. He could feel his heart race as it tried to power his overly massive body. He wheezed with each breath, which left him somewhat lightheaded. “I feel as though I might burst! I never realized food outside my village was so filling!”

“I'm surprised that you've never had food outside your tribe,” the heavily pregnant green orc muttered in disgust as he sat close to him after laying out the bonfire for the night. Dar’gul had been watching for hours as Gublox stuffed his face greedily. He had occasionally given himself a bite to eat during that time, but each time his gaze went back to Gublox he found himself gagging and on the verge of vomiting. He couldn't believe he was in the company of someone so gluttonous, as if it was normal. “Damn you… a whole day wasted because you insisted on stuffing your face.”

“Like you're one to talk,” Gublox rebutted, motioning toward Dar’gul’s own round middle, which continued to fascinate the overstuffed earthy orc. He still wondered how his belly could be so round and solid. Surely he must be a glutton like him, he thought. There was no other explanation. “I know for a fact that you haven't gotten your fill. I shouldn't be the only one having a good time.”

“A good time?!” Dar'gul questioned, his voiced rising in irritation. His anger at such a hedonistic specimen was beginning to get on his last nerves. Not helping was the constant shifting in his belly from his orclings, who were obviously being stirred by the commotion. “How can you call stuffing yourself to the point of nearly exploding a good time?!”

“Ain't that how an orc is supposed to live?” Gublox reasoned, which was only met with a bitter glare and grinding teeth. “I told ya once before, ‘Good Food, Good Drink, Good Times!’ That's the way an orc is to live--”

“Only if your a fool!” Dar'gul roared, finally losing his patience. “How can you expect to fight if you're so fat that you can't even MOVE?!”

“I can still fight,” Gublox replied calmly, still oblivious to Dar'gul’s frustration. “I just need to rest up and digest and I'll show ya how to fight with this big ol’ belly of mine.” Gublox paused as he felt his stomach churn something fierce. Something quickly traveled up his esophagus and forced it's way out of his mouth. A loud, deep, guttural belch escaped from Gublox’s bowels, shaking the trees and alerting the nearby wildlife and scaring them away. Gublox sighed heavily once again, quickly losing his breath and feeling his body perspire from the heat of his own body. He cocked his head and gave Dar'gul a smug look, as if he was giving him “bedroom eyes”. “Besides, I bet you can barely fight with that monster sitting in your lap.”

“Don't you dare compare my womb to your gullet, you cur!” Dar'gul roared yet again, thrusting his spear towards the plump orc and making his anger known. Gublox's heart skipped a beat as he stared down the blade and was met with the bitter glare of his “friend”. Gublox stood silent for a moment, unsure of what just happened. In fairness, he had never truly argued with an orc, let alone anyone else. He was just simply jesting with Dar'gul, but he didn't think he would actually make him angry. After a brief silence, something caught the rotund orc’s mind. “Womb”? Did Dar'gul just call his stomach… a womb? He probably would get a fistful in return, but he had to ask.

“Uh… what did ya just say?” The moment Gublox asked that question, Dar'gul's blood went cold. He just realized what he had just said. He promised to only reveal the truth when he was ready, but he had inadvertently spilled the beans. Trying to find every chance to change the topic, Dar'gul stumbled over a series of beginnings.

“I… well, I… you see… uh… Look, an orc is meant to be a warrior! And warriors are meant to be alert and ready to fight! Overeating dulls a warrior's instinct, and your instincts are already pretty dull as is!” Gublox stared at Dar'gul blankly. The latter hoped that the former would take the bait, but…

“I see your point, but that's not what I asked,” Gublox replied. “I'm asking if you called your gut a ‘womb'.”

“Of course not, you oaf!” Dar'gul denied, feeling a hard kick from one of his orclings in response. “Urk! See what I mean? You've clearly stuffed yourself so much that you've got fat clogging your ears! You're clearly not meant to be a warrior!”

“Again, not what I’m asking. I swear, you said ‘womb'.”

“You're just hearing things!” Dar'gul roared, the forest falling silent save for the echo of his voice. Dar'gul simply shrugged and turned away from the obese orc. He had clearly had enough. “Look, you're a gluttonous oaf. Unless you want to be a prime meal for the forest creatures, I suggest you start doing something about that gullet of yours.” Finding a far off tree, Dar'gul sat down and readied himself for slumber. “We've got a full day tomorrow, it's best we rest up for the night. And given that massive meal you had, your gonna need it.”

With that, silence fell upon the forest. Gublox wanted to press further, but he knew that he would incur Dar'gul's wrath yet again. Instead, he took the time to sit there and process what exactly just happened. He never had a fight like that before. Not once. He knew that Dar'gul was the serious type based on the small time he got to hang with him, but he seemed especially angry with him and he didn't know why. He also knew that Dar'gul was hiding something. His womb? Why would he say that? Was it something to do with his belly? Then, a silly thought came into his mind.

Was he… pregnant?

No way! Impossible! Male orcs can't get pregnant. At least, not normally. There was a particular tribe from afar that had males that give birth to orclings. Not that he had ever been there. Gublox barely ever traveled outside his tribe before, so wouldn't know if it were true or not. But what if on the of chance it was true? What if a village of orcs where males could breed children did actually exist? And what if Dar'gul was a member of said tribe? It would explain why Dar'gul was constantly snippy and irritable. He must be close to term. But if he was, shouldn't he be with his tribe? What happened to separate him from his tribe? Wait… didn't Dar'gul mention he was shipwrecked? Why didn't his tribe try to save him? Especially if he was with child?

All these questions ran through Gublox's mind as his belly groaned and churned and the long process of digestion began. Gublox groaned as he felt his stomach come alive with activity. Perhaps that was his body telling him “enough is enough”. The sun was setting and the light from the bonfire was slowly becoming the only light source. His head also pounded with a massive headache and a sharp ringing sounded off in his head. Gublox was feeling far more exhausted than usual, but he chalked it up to a long and stressful day. Indeed, it was time for bed. These questions would have to wait until the morning. The only question left on his mind was why Dar'gul's tribe didn't save him. Regardless of their differences in how they view orc society, surely all orcs would care for their own. That's how a tribe works, right?

At least, that's how Gublox understood it...
