Hi, I appreciate your politeness, and I'm really sorry for any discomfort this may have caused you. You and your art is so great, and I don't want to seem rude or anything... Please don't take this the wrong way, but I believe I do not, in fact, need to credit you in this situation.
I am an honest person. You know that I wouldn't deliberately copy anyone without credit if it is due. So hear me out.
Although our pieces both have the similar theme of LGBT support and similar titles, I certainly did NOT copy or reference your art. That is simply an absurd accusation, I'm sorry. Our pieces have so many differences as you can clearly see, for example yours is couples, includes only straight, gay, and bi, all of your characters are hugging each other while mine don't even touch and are each standing. How can the poses be the same, as you claim, if all of mine are holding flags anyway? It's a conundrum and you know it. My piece only includes human characters, includes gay, lesbian, bi, and transgender, has pride flags, and has a rainbow background, just to name a few obvious differences...
After taking that into account and clearing up that confusion, let's be real here.
Just because I make an LGBT pride art, and you do too doesn't mean that I have referenced yours. Under your logic, I must credit EVERY other artist who has ever made pride art, which is insane as a concept, because the ONLY thing our drawings really have in common is the LGBT theme. Our characters, scenery, and everything else is different.
As for the peace sign? I used the sign because it is a universal symbol of acceptance, not because it was part of your art (I completely forgot I faved your art TWO months ago, to be honest, and obviously didn't even look at it while drawing). Peace signs, pride flags, and LGBT characters are not copyrighted by you. Anyone can draw them, and they are prevalent in several pride art pieces!! (I've seen a lot)
I strongly believe that I do not need to credit you based on the above facts. I still think you, and your art is great (and good for you to make something supporting the LGBT; we need more representation of them, not less), and believe me, if I HAD referenced it, you know that I am an honest person and I WOULD credit you, but in this case, I have no need to.
But once again, I am willing to compromise. The title is a bit similar, (but only by coincidence), so I will gladly reword it at your request, and I can still give your page a shout out if it makes you feel better for this misunderstanding!
I hope we can soon put this issue to rest. Thank you.
