I use Paint Tool SAI for this.  and a little manipulation from Photoshop to get the slight transparency.

of course you can ask~!  

I actually don't have a set tool size. I use the SAI Pen tool, I think most of this one was around.. 5-7px?  I make it bigger or smaller depending on what I'm doing.  it also depends on how big the original is!  This one was pretty huge, so I needed a thicker set of lines.  The whole thing was drawn with a tablet as well.  

Right now I'm experimenting with the SAI linework later for other works.. It's so cooool.

hahah awesome yeah i use SAI also but i cant figure out what to set my pen tool to XD i make most of my images !000x!000

SAI is the best~!   I generally try to gun for 2500px+ width.  The bigger, the better!  right up until my computer crashes Q_Q
