Description
Black and white charcoals on midtone paper for about 15 minutes, then revisited with Photoshop for ~2 hours to paint in more detailed musculature. The initial gesture work was drawn from observation, and then the musculature was refined using photo reference. Getting warmed up for a 100-day anatomy challenge... I don't think I can reliably brush my teeth 100 days in a row, let alone draw and upload a thing a day, but I guess that's why they call it a "challenge"Related content

I thought this was an interesting combination of brushes, then I read the description. Awesome work!
What's this 100 day anatomy challenge you're doing?

Hah, I can see why you'd think that! Glad you like it It can be hard to mix pencil with digital and not have it look like a cheap paint-over.
The challenge is on CA, and it's already started: www.conceptart.org/forums/show…
There's no reason not to follow along though, if you feel like doing some more anatomy practice

That's awesome! I don't like joining something in the middle but if I'm on time for the next one I'll definitely join!
About the drawing; It's well blended. I actually like the effect it brings so good job Good luck in the challenge!!
