Description
Digital painting with Photoshop and Wacom tablet. This is a creature I designed for a card game that a friend was putting together. The visual concept is influenced by sci-fi/fantasy novel covers, though the colors came out a little too rainbow-y so I'm still not too happy with them. I'm still pretty inexperienced at working with color, especially in PS. The character is meant to look "fiercely cute," which is why I've given him an abnormally large head.Related content

Awesome! Looks like it's going to be an interesting card game.

Thank you, all the other cards came out really well too! (All drawn by different people.) I'd upload them, except they don't belong to me.

I work in northern CT, but technically I live out of state. I think of myself as a resident of the Greater New England area

Cool, living in CT seems to destroy creativity but I've been here on and off my entire life so this place is tapped for me and only serves as a temp. home now. Β Β What do you do?

I know what you mean. I'm trying to seek out some of the hidden gems of CT for drawing and hiking, but there's a very different culture here than in MA, VT, or other places nearby. I work as an animator for a very small studio that does contract work for larger clients, specifically in the toy industry. It's a lot of fun! I haven't posted any of my animation work up here yet, though I might.

Cool, well I know of a few gems in CT, nature wise. Β There is Devil's Hopyard, Bailey's Ravine to name a few but these are mostly where I am in Southeastern CT. Β I used to do tours and historic walks in town but people are more interested in casinos. Β One of my fav. spots is Indian Leap right by my house. Β I look forward to seeing more of your work. Β

I'll have to check those out if I ever make my way down to southern CT. And thank you for the watch, more art coming very soon!
