Round Robin Critique - I like the rough, sketch-like quality of this! Not to say as it looks unfinished, rather that the lines have life and energy to them. Nice colour job as well - I'd normally find a background like that lazy but it works well.

Thank you very much for critique ^^

and yes, the background is lazy, have ye to figure out how to do them properly, since I have never really used them ^^

I think it looks great! I love the expression and the pose. My only critiques be the background, which to me looks a bit plain compared to the action pose the character is in, and the fur which is too soft. As someone else else said below the fur detail needs to be a bit sharper. Other than that I think it looks great.

Thank you. and yes, the background isn't working very well. Have some problems with those, since I've never really done them... ^^ Is kind of still in the "stick man" stage at that point xD

You have such great perspective here. <3 This pose is really great! As far as I can tell, the anatomy is also really nice as well (I'm not the best with animals, but the human parts are spot on!)

One thing I'd like to make a suggestion for is your lines; in some areas you have sketchy lines, and in some areas you have no line art at all. While both ways look good, I would say that you should pick one way or the other rather than having both. While both of your methods look great, it's a bit confusing that there are two different styles and I feel it takes away from the piece a bit.

I do really love the way you colored and shaded this; the hair and fur look really good! I think you could make the fur detail a little sharper next time, though. You do a great job at it, so let it show!

Great work~ <3

The things you mention I hadn't really thought about, but I can see what you mean
Thank you very much for the critique, I appreciate it a lot ^^

THouhg I have to ask, how do you mean sharper fur details? I didn't really think about it, but I would like to know how I could do it better?

I'm glad it's helped! <3

What I mean is that, currently, it looks like you use a lot of airbrushing and/or blurring when you shade. This is fine! But for certain parts of the fur it might look cool if you add some "harder" shadows by using the pen tool and lightly blurring so it's not as faded. <3

Very nice!! I love the way this is drawn, what did you use to create it with? 8O The anatomy looks great, and most of the shading and coloring looks good too- the only things I noticed were, first, on the leg closest to the viewer, riigght underneath the small black line that shows where it's knee is, there's some light yellow that hasn't been smudged in as well as all the other colors. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like this, but it just looks slightly off to me. Maybe smudge it in to blend better with the yellows above it? And the light spots on its tail (up the rings) and on the hand that's farthest away are a little distracting because they take away from the black outlining; it might look better if you darken the black a little so the outlining is more visible. But overall, great job!! Keep up the good work!!

Thank you very much for the critique! I used a mix of paint tool SAI, the coloring done with the brush tool and air brush, and Photoshop CS4, making the lines look good and for the background.
And yes, I have noticed the knee thing and did fix it, however, for some strange reason, even though I uploaded the fixed version, it still only shows the old picture... wierd...
And thank you for the advice on the lines, will see what I can do when I get the time ^^
