I think this work is amazing. It says mixed media, but really, it could have fooled me which is a mark that a piece of work is good. Between the title and the work itself, I feel the vision is like a memory. When I saw the piece for a little while, and considered the title, I felt that it shows the memory of a certain place for sure. That really pleased me because everyone loves nostalgia, but we rarely get to appreciate other people's nostalgia. I felt I was able to appreciate something like that here. It is most definitely an original piece. I'm not familiar with mixed media techniques but here they are used well and blended perfectly. Especially the light coming from the interior- I love how that's done. It feels extremely realistic- the exact amount of light I would expect to see or feel from this distance.
A very beautiful piece. Well done.

Ah, a reworking of one of my favorite pieces, your Backalley, and you know how much I liked that. As I am fond of paintings of the impressionists, as well as Japanese woodblock prints, I like this very much. The balance between the reality of the location and the artistic license you have taken in this portrayal is just about perfect. The human and feline figures in the center add an extra dimension to your previous work. Depending on the mood of the viewer, one could see this as a bit of whimsy, or as portraying the emotion of the bond between human and cat.
The earlier photograph had a harder edge to it, but things are softer here, yet without totally covering over the nature of living in this place. The use of color and lighting again strikes a balance between the reality of the earlier photo and the more emotional feeling one gets in this work. I almost get the feeling that this could be someone's memory of life in this alley, remembering the cat with some fondness.
Very well done, and it shows your versatility. Many would be happy just to be able to create this, or the earlier photograph, but to do both so well is truly commendable.

Instead of giving a huge detailed understanding, I think the simpler you can define something the more opportunity we can start to gather. My comment is that, to see love you must become love and I could see that in your piece. Beautiful my friend.

I really love how this looks detailed without being at all detailed. It's not fuzzy, though, just a really great blend of soft and angular shapes that make a lovely harmony.
