Description
This was an accidental double exposure of a house with a 6X9cm Voigellanter pre-WWII camera.I love it and had a hard time deciding between "Art" and "Architecture" as the main categories.
Other then cropping the image there was no PS and the image presented here truly reflects the direct photographic print.
EDIT:
This image has been selected to appear in an exhibition celebrating the new Department for Traditional Photography at the Bat-Yam Museum in Israel!
The exhibition opens on May 1st.

It's embarrassing how much of good photography is recognition after the fact.

wow this is really cool, do you have a normal photograph so we could see what it looked like without the 'accident'? Im curious as to what is from the dbl exposure and whats the building! But yeah love the composition, texture, angles, shapes, very abstract, almost looks like a watercolor painting rather than a photograph!
Great Job!

Thanks - I think I have a scan of one of the straight images - I'll look for it, and if I do it will probably turn up in my scraps, I will provide a link in this image to that one when I post it.
BTW - who featured it?
This image got a lot of attention recently, but I don't know who to thank...

It's so simplistic, while at the same time abstract and complex. Very modernist. Good work!

I would like to boast, but all I really did here was get lucky and crop the image...
I love it too, but I can only take a discovery credit and not a creativity credit for this one..

I wish you would have said that about something I actualy created intentionally, but, as I am only partially to blame, I tend to agree - I love it!

Yeah, haha I know what you mean. But I admire your honesty Not everybody would have mentioned that it only was a happy accident..
Intentionally or not, never mind all that. The luck was on your side YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE

I didn't need comments.. I just get excited by some people's work and like to discuss things.. I am just as likely to send another dev.s work to illustrate a point.. if it is ethical. Liz

Ethical, and one of the best things you can do on this site (assuming most people want an art loving community - what's better then sharing and showing other people?).

niceee... havent been there yet.
can you explain more to me about traditional photography? and how you mad this photo?

yori1976 In reply to Green-stone [2007-03-26 19:47:35 +0000 UTC]
Traditional photography as in opposing digital - using film.
This photo was a double exposure - the film advance mechanism was not operated (accidentaly), so two photos, which were intended as separate images ended up on the same piece of film.
I really like the result, althgough i had to crop a part that was too messy (mostly at the top). Original negative is 6X9 cm, taken with a pre-WWII camera...
