Since I'm still without a tablet pen, and I'm bored beyond my mind's capacity, I decided to take a few screen shots from various games I mentioned in that one journal I made a week or 2 back.No one really seemed interested in me TALKING about the whole game sprite thingy, so I figured I'll SHOW some instead. :m
Sorry for the crappy overlaying job. It was an "in the moment" kinda thing, so I wasn't worried about neatness. :m
Anyways.... the games the sprites are from..... The top 2 are from the classic version of Spelunky, which has gotten an HD remake since then. I don't have that version. But anyways, I have both playable YoshiMan, and YoshiGirl(who is the Damsel that the main dude is supposed to save, but you can unlock her by clearing a few challenges within the game.)
The huge one that most of the other things are overlayed over is a screenshot from Hammerwatch. It's kinda like the ol' classic Gauntlet games. You know.... with the Warrior/Paladin, the Elf/Archer, the Wizard/Mage etc... Well I'm a Ranger cuz I always play the Archer/Bowman/Ranger class in these old timey Fantasy games. :m
The one to the right most of the big one is from La-Mulana. Anawesomely hard Metroidvania game that was hella fun, and frustrating, at times. LOLz, I accidentally did something in the game to turn it up to Hard Mode, so I pretty much played through it on the tougher setting. Anyways, I'm getting hurt by a Fish thing with legs. Not too weird, right? :n
The really cold looking one is from 1001 Spikes. The Antarctica levels, to be exact. That's why I'm sporting a cool little parka. :m But yeah, I have a TON of character sprites made for this one. Another tough as hell, Trial and Error Platformer type game. I had, and STILL have insane amounts of fun with this game. Even more with all my added characters in it. :m Probably goes down as one of my favorites of all time. At least, for this particular genre of game. Oh, and hey look..... a Penguin. :v
This one's kinda unfamiliar to any cuz it's from my own game. I used a Mario gaming engine to make this, so I can't take all the credit for it... Only my own character sprites. Anyways, there's 4 pieces of this one cuz I wanted to fill in some of the emptiness of the page. :n Simple as a Pimple gets... it's screenshots showing my 4 playable Yoshi characters, YoshiMan, YoshiGirl, YoshiDude, and Yashie(who seems to be a little frightened by that Dry Bones over there. XP). Maybe one day I'll post it up for all to play, but right now, I'm still trying to add things to it, like new characters, and new levels and stuff. But what with work, and commissions, and all that stuff, I kinda haven't had much time to do so. :1 Ah well...
Anyways..... that's all for now.
OH.... wait... no... I got a little extra something for those who actually didn't skip the good ol' comments section.

BAM! A SSB4 Replay. :b I didn't really care to make a YT account just to post vids on it, but seeing as I couldn't post art, and I wanted to post SOMETHING, I was like... okay... sure.... I'll try this out a time or 2. Who knows.... maybe I'll post more.... maybe I won't. But yeah.... If you don't know..... I'm the Green Yoshi. LOLz don't let the Jigglypuff's SD fool you, they were actually a really good player. Everyone in this room was. This was just one of my crowning Yoshi matches that I wanted to show off. :b

If only I had the PC version, and it was .png file friendly. I could do this.
Everything these days is using .xnb files, so I can't alter any of those sprites without the program that allows me to make, or edit xna/xnb file games. And I've tried to get it, but it just won't work on my computer. ;_________;

I already had no issues getting the sprites. It's a matter of applying them to the actual game I'm playing, Otherwise I'll pass on it.

Not at launch. I mean.... I dunno if the game is worth the $60 price tag. I was expecting $40. And hell..... even $50 would have been passable...... but $60, I'll probably just wait for Christmas time to come around, and hope that it goes on Sale.
