"You know, you're a damn good volleyball player, dude! I didn't think you Kremlings could be so strategic and stuff."

The ape with the shades approached me without a care in the world. Contrary to myself, who was rooted in place. All I could let out was the following in a semi-meek voice...

"Thanks, I... I guess!"

"Come on, man! You won us the game fifteen-to-three! You looked like you were havin' a blast, too! At least show some enthusiasm!"

I promptly hung my head, blushing like mad. What the hell was coming over me? I was on a mission to find out more about this Crystal Coconut thingamajig, yet here I was fraternizing with the enemy! Though to be honest, this guy didn't seem like a bad banana.

I looked up to his shades, the sun shining off of them, "A-alright. Sorry, I'm just being... really really odd for some reason. I-I'm not usually like this!"

"You're nervous, dude. I don't blame you. It's not often we see a friendly krok like yourself, after all." The funky-looking ape then clapped his hands, "Alright, dude! Get over here; I want to remember this moment!"

"Huh?!"

"Hey, Candy baby! Grab the camera from my knack-sack and snap a quick pic, would ya?"

It was certainly a moment to remember. That crazy monkey grabbed my waist and pulled me in pretty close to him. As the, err... voluptuous (for lack of a better word) gal on the other side prepared the camera for a shot, I couldn't help but get in the moment and put my arm around my partner. The other arm involuntarily rose up to plant my hand over my head as I continued to blush like crazy.

For some weird reason, this sort of interaction felt... right.

When I returned to the pirate ship later that day, I shut myself in my cabin for the rest of the night. All I could think about was that day. While I had nothing to report from my objective, I was pretty sure that I gained something much more precious. I pondered this as I stowed away the picture of me and that crazy dude in my coconut container, right next to my belt buckle.

So hey, I finally drew something on my new hardcover sketchbook! What better way to start off than with one of my wacky fantasies?

Tools: Sketchbook, pencil.

One of these days I want to gather up all the free time I have, sit down somewhere and work on Krill's story adventure whatever-you-want-to-call-it. I've had snippets of it planned for years, but I could never muster up the energy to actually put those thoughts down. I'll consider this one step closer to that goal.
