Description
A fanart of Bellwether from the Disney movie called "Zootopia".Well today has been a long day for me. So I'm tired. But I wanted to post this. Just to get it over with.
*Warning May Contain Spoilers* (Read At Your Own Risk)
Bellwether may have to be my #1 favorite new Disney villain. And its not just because she's cute. But she is very smart on how she plans things out. But does it very quietly while no one even notices. That its her doing this the whole time. And leaves high suspicion on who is the villain. Throughout the whole movie. And I liked that. Its like a twist. Though she is one of the fewest villains that you have to feel sorry for. Because there was a point in time. Where she was good. Until she got corrupted by Mayor Lionheart. Because of him taking the credit & glory. While Bellwether just got underestimated & underappreciated. Which explains why she only wants prey only to live in Zootopia. While predators are becoming savages. Basically saying that prey fears predators. So she can stay in power.
"Fear always works! And I'll dart every predator in Zootopia to keep it that way!" - Bellwether
I'm going to stop there before I say anymore. I'm sorry if I spoil some of the plots to you guys & gals. Or if the picture points out. Who the real villain is.
This was originally going to be in digital. But I gotten frustrated. To get the colors right. So I've made this in traditional. This was colored with PrisamaColor Color Pencils. And it turned out very well. Then I expected it to be.
Hope you like it!

First time I saw the movie, I didn't expect her to be the bad guy all along...well played, Disney.
Anywho, I love the colors in this awesome artwork.

I really liked how Ms. Bellwether's villainy actually came more out of bigotry towards predators, it too was a refreshing twist over how many villains simply want power.

Zootopia, much like the real animal kingdom, is supposed to be ninety percent prey and ten percent predator. Which means Bellwether was part of the majority. To me, she's little more than just an old bigot.

I'm more worry about that gun she's holding and her supply Night Howler drug. It will unleash the beast of anyone who even touched it.
It would have been the end of Zootopia (the city) if everyone affect by it.
I bet it can affect Humans.

Third time. THIRD time Disney's fooled me. I'm calling it: the pig is the real villain in "Moana".

Disney's last female villain was Mother Gothel and while some might not agree with Bellwether being the villain behind the crime all along, I still LOVE her a lot. I didn't want to believe that it was her all along, because she didn't do anything or seemed at all suspicious; even that notepad with Doug's name did not convince me because one might think it could just be a family member or a close friend she knows and is not of our concern. Before then someone else said it was her weeks before the movie was out, something I hate when people do. But luckily they didn't say how it happened, and I decided to keep my eyes off message boards and merchandise until I saw the movie. Some might accuse of her of being nothing more than a Scooby Doo like villain, but she is nothing like that (she is much better than they are), because even other crime stories had plot twists and not just one genre.
Maybe it's just my opinion/personal belief, but I suspect that Bellwether's situation is somewhat similar to Callaghan's (Big Hero 6). He was willing to take revenge on Krei at any cost, even if it looked like he was willing to do it at the cost of destroying half of San Fransokyo where someone else might have been hurt or killed, but he was too blinded by his own grief and rage to think of that, and even tried to kill his students who were ready to stop him. Bellwether I believe was possibly once a victim of bullying and prejudice herself at the hands of other predators for being easy prey since she was part of the sheep family that couldn't defend themselves, and that made her an easy target. It must have go on for a long time from elementary to collage. We don't know exactly how she ended up working for Lionheart, but his lack of thanks, insults, and abuse, never giving her credit or respect for anything and it might have possibly been the last straw for her. She became lost and blinded by anger, hatred, bitterness, and unforgiveness toward predators, that it corrupted her mind into believing Zootopia would be better off and safer without them, even if she had to take the law into her own hands to fix all that.
She ended up being one of those villains you can' help but feel sympathy for like Randall Boggs, Mr. Freeze, Lotso, Agatha Prendergast, Bushroot, Baby Doll, Tai Lung, Lord Shen, Princess Azula, Callaghan, and especially Bellwether. But the thing I hate from movie studios is making them do something, as if manipulating the audience into thinking that none of these villains (be it Disney/Pixar/Warner Bros) deserve any ounce of sympathy to begin with and are evil to the core for no true reason.

Yeah, I wish they'd show some more of her backstory which would have a deeper explanation on her hatred of predators instead of labeling her as racist for no reason.
