Navigating the Stars

Prismacolor and Faber-Castell Colored Pencils (white acrylic was sparingly used)

"Do you recognize the star patterns above you?" She asked her pup.
"Yes momma," the pup grinned.
"Do you remember how they appear each season?"
"Kinda... But I know where the northern star is so as long as I know where that one is, I can find the patterns and my way."
The mother nuzzled her pup and smiled warmly, "The most important star of all."
"Momma?"
"Yes my little one?"
"Will you always be here like the north star?, the pup nuzzled into her mother, still looking up to the heavens.
Mother wolf's arms tightened around her pup and she thought for a second, "All things come to an end my precious one. It cannot always last forever, but the soul does," she lifted her pup's muzzle to her face, "So though my form maybe gone, my soul will always be there to guide you, like the stars.
