There is so much I want to write about the Aliens, the Space Jockeys, the universe of Alien, and the Alien lifeforms and what and who it all is.
For me, the Alien is an extremely hyper aggressive, extremely intelligent and malevolent, a species that is absolutely aware and alien to even this universe or maybe the galaxy perhaps, a constantly adapting and evolving at the cellular level by the minute to any environment it is subjected to, it kills and slaughters seductively and slowly, it's victims are violently raped and violated as it kills them at different rates due to it's emotional state of pleasure or survival. In short, it enjoys killing in grotesque fashion to further its survival. It knows what it does, and thoroughly loves it. In the genetic makeup of the Alien are mutagenic cells which provide the highly adaptive abilities of the species, but furthermore rise to its ability to reproduce in many ways. It is unknown the origin of the species, if they were naturally found as they are or altered by the Space Jockey. So far(at least what I consider to be the real story Alien and Aliens) we have witnessed two forms of reproduction.
The 1st movie gave us the true(as they are as we know them so far) Alien species from a human host. It need not anything but itself and its mutagenic cells to asexually convert bio-matter( at least another lifeform) into material to grow more eggs where the parasite is born from a used or even morphed corpse(I consider the biomass of another lifeform is fuel for creation). [System Shock 2 gives a perfect explanation of them] The full grown Alien born of a human from the egg on the Derelict Jockey ships reaches to a height around 8 feet, a biomechanical body, quick as lightening, regeneration of it's body over time if damaged, acid blood, extremely powerful beyond common sense. One Alien can reproduce, and create nests or liars (maybe an asexual hive mind) it is possible the Alien can mimic or even speak, possibly use telepathy to at least communicate with its own. I doubt it needs food at all to survive, but if it does, it could eat other lifeforms or maybe even convert metals or other materials for nourishment.
The 2nd movie gave us the same Alien but the environment of LV-426 had been changed and altered after the 57 years since the Nostromo event. Once this classic Alien of a human was born, it did as before but now faced with no a small number of humans but an entire colony. perhaps at first it repeated it's natural strategy, but more of the eggs and facehuggers seemed to have been captured and studied. I think from this special case, with an environment change, number of people, but most importantly I believe the atmospheric processor, the terraformer, altered the mutagen within that first Alien of the colonist. Since the Hive created this time itself was near the core in the terraformer, I believe as well the radiation from the facility along with processed atmosphere gave rise to the first Alien at Hadley's hope to evolve into a Queen-like Alien out of random and survival. In this new morphed evolved form it was able to produce eggs in a different matter, a quicker and cheaper time saving matter, a more specifically adapted situation but more so randomly. This newly developed quicker egg former, i.e. laying eggs, gave rise to a fast production of eggs/parasites to created more Aliens but speed sacrificing quality. These new facehuggers may have been created faster but the new breed Alien was slightly weaker with a different more ridged appearance, the speed and ferocity is still there, size may vary but still can reach an 8 foot status depending. Another byproduct of this cheaper method was a resulting increased susceptibility to weaponry. But remember as well the weapons the special forces Colonial Marines were using were armor piercing high explosive rounds able to effectively take down light armor vehicles, and other powerful tools and weapons. Though shear numbers of Aliens took down the marines but at a cost. This variant may also posses the ability to regenerate and do the same as the original strain. An entire colony was near wiped out in weeks.
In my head this is how I picture the Alien from Alien and the Alien from Aliens, so as to when one is to complain about the Alien in Aliens how they differ but are the same.

Case 4: Derek Mines was a smart person. He post it to 12 pictures. Later that day, he found a $100 bill on the ground. He was promoted to head manager at his job and his girlfriend agreed to marry him. Now, he and his wife are living happily ever after. They have two beautiful children.
