Exactly what it says on the tin: Alice as a princess--no particular reason, just thought it'd be fun. (I guess it's kind of appropriate, though, since she becomes a Chess Queen at the end of Through the Looking-Glass, and she's one of the Princesses of Heart in Kingdom Hearts, IIRC.)

My challenge was to make Alice look different and a little older, while still maintaining her essence as a character. (In other words, I was trying to avoid making this drawing looking like your average official Disney "princess" merchandise; I was going for a more Mary Blair-ish look instead.) Alice's dress is based not only on her classic dress, but also on Sarah's in Labyrinth and on Belle's in Beauty and the Beast. (See why I don't work in the fashion industry? I'm too unoriginal. ) The reddish-brown and off-white floor tiles are meant to resemble an Anglo-Indian chessboard, and the columns are actually giant chess queen pieces.

I don't normally draw stuff like this, and was actually wondering if I should even upload it at all. I am pretty proud of the final result, though, so here it is! (I think the bluish shadow under the dress could have come out a lot better, but I'm too damn tired to change it now.)

...well, technically, since Lewis Carroll's original books are both in the public domain, Alice belongs to everybody. (Not THAT way, you sicko!) However, Disney's specific iteration of Alice belongs to Disney. I only own this drawing.
