Overall I was very impressed with this piece. The merging of faces to create the letters was very interesting in its approach. I also appreciate the use of a monochromatic color scheme, that appeals to me, as well as it shows the mastery of line and contrast so everything is still legible. The only thing that I would encourage is possibly some more variation in the facial expressions on the frontal faces. I get the twin idea with the letter u, however you did vary most of the others but in the right stem of the y is too similar to the twins, and I think it may be a little too repetitive. But all in all you should be commended.

Loved the expressions in this previous version. Especially the one in the O, it made me giggle. The Y had a great feel to it too. I think you were right to add the twin in the new version, that was a great idea, and I think it's something you can play up in the future.
