Description
01 Jan 2014:After 31 months of not working on this thing, here's a minor update/announcement: I've kind of lost interest in this thing (you should be able to tell). Here's a minor update that has a few functions that I've always wanted to make: more SMG2 blocks, blocks made by ~fryguy64 , and the ability to use secondary (right) and middle click in the program (I've been waiting for this since I was using Flash, and it finally came in Flash Player 11). Now you can draw a little bit faster.
I'm aware that new games like Super Mario 3D Land and Super Mario 3D World came out, and they've got some interesting, new-looking tiles (3D World has got new space, night mountain and circus themes, for example). Given my diminishing interest in this thing and desire to make other stuff, though, I'm not sure if I'll ever get to finish that. Maybe I will, but I'm incredibly lazy, so...
-------
Ver 0.1.0 (23 Jan 2011) - Basic structure coded with 8 test tiles
Ver 0.2.0 (25 Jan 2011) - Added new tiles, rearranged tile picker
Ver 0.2.1 (26 Jan 2011) - Added pages (prev/next) to tile picker + usability fix of 0.2.0
Ver 0.2.2 (13 Feb 2011) - Even more graphics added
Ver 0.3.0 (14 Mar 2011) - New name (I want to use something not used by anyone else, although "Mario Scene Builder" was kinda unique to me as well), added backgrounds, new UI colours, slightly more graphics
Ver 0.4.0 (22 Mar 2011) - Massive graphical update; planned to have minor UI changes too, but that will have to wait
Ver 0.4.1 (03 Apr 2011) - Save function added, added 2 tiles and 2 backgrounds, switch to white background to save image with transparent background
Ver 0.5.0 (01 May 2011) - Added about screen and a few pages of graphics
Ver 1.0 (01 Jan 2014) - Added middle- and secondary(right)-click functions, added two pages of graphics

I once thought of that, but I've since got less motivated on this thing. The fact that I'm updating a 2011 piece in 2014 should speak something.

That would be nice. Those are somewhere between SMG1/2 and New SMB DS/Wii in terms of graphical style, but there are some unique items too.
Thanks for yout input; I'm considering that!

Yay!!
I hope to see it finished soon. Making programs is a good way to take a rest from my daily job making programs.
