All textures were painted by me in Adobe Photoshop CS5.Created in Maya 2011.
Layers composited in Nuke 5.1
This is the best quality I can give you without crashing Deviantart...the original render is 1920x1080 so yehh.

Nice simple little animation. My only critique is that the starfield should not be parallaxing. Right now, the stars are so close that they appear to be in amongst the planets.

True fact, it was an artistic choice. But if it distracts from the piece as a whole then, yes you are correct.

I painted six different star maps in CS5 and saved them out as .png files (transparency already encoded 
Renders quickly and saves the hassle of setting up dynamics and the like.
