Description
I remember this one episode of Spongebob, Sb-129. It was an overral excellent and hilarious episode from the golden years of Spongebob, and it spawned one of the greatest memes on the internet. But, what I also remember is that towards the end was this once scene that took me by surprise. The "Alone" scene. Now, you may or may not know what the heck it is I'm talking about, so let me fill you in. WARNING: IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE EPISODE I SUGGEST YOU GO DO SO NOW. It happens when Squidward accidentally breaks his time machine, and it starts to mailfunction. As the screen flashes and all sorts of shit glides across the screen, there is a constant and loud beeping noise that progressively picks up its pace. Once all of this is over, clean white fills up the screen. Squidward then appears and begins to walk forward, until he reaches strange shapes on the ground. The moment he hears these strange voices, he proceeds to touch the one of the shapes. Once done, the shape floats upwards and disappears with another strange voice sounding its departure. Squidward then happily states that he has finally found place where he can be all alone. The word "alone" appears on the screen as a large text bubble, followed by a plethora of voice ranging from male and female to say alone with more colorful text. Then, they all chant "alone" as the text fades into the blank background. Squidward then comes to the realization that there is absolutely nothing in the place he is currently in, and attempts to escape by running. To no avail, however, as the strange world is endless and Squidward simply loops across the screen. Now terrifyed, Squidward screams out how he wants to go home while the voices keep chanting. Eventually, he crashes through the floor and ends up in the time machine again. He begs it to take him home, which it does. Though it may have a happy ending with Squidward ending up back in Bikini Bottom (And finding out that through a time paradox he actually invented Jellyfishing) you can't deny that the "Alone" scene was truly a disturbing sight to behold. This location has only shown up once so far, and it is never explained what that place was even meant to be. Was it the plane outside of time? Was it at the time the Universe ends? The world before the Universe? Purgatory? Hell? We are still left clueless to this very day.Scary.

You'd have to see it for yourself. I recommend it. It's terrifying, yet there's some sort of artistic beauty about it.
