Yay! I actually finished this one.I don't think it ended up as well as grenadier, but then again, this was essentially the test run for the grenadier.
More modern-ish knights will come!
(one more could have come as soon as tomorrow, if i DIDN't loose three hours of work today, so if you want to see, here's the first sketch of him: imgur.com/a/aIDfuGB )

Why not combo weapons? I know there is at least one historical example of a mace combined with a gun, and I know another one combined with an axe. I haven’t seen you lose alot of combo weapons with pole-arms like halberds or the goedendag, or sword-gun combos, the sword bayonette, or the bardiche ( a pole-arm Russians ( and possibly Scandinavians) used as a rest for their muskets.) personally what I like about the early gunpowder era ( ie when armor was still being used, and castles still being made)- was the everything goes mentality- all sorts of different types of weapons being used- and here I mostly just see swords and guns. Sure swords are a very versatile weapon but it’s not just the amount of metal that made them expensive it was also their training time- polearms seem a more natural fit for these citizen armies you’re trying to pull off, as well as adding to the messy aesthetic of war, which swords being the gentleman’s weapon can take away from.
