"You got your earpiece?"

"Yeah?"

"(fave flowers)?"

"Yep."

"You're ready to go, amigo. Remember the plan: I'm gonna try to help you through this as best I can. Don't let her know you have this or you'll never live this down."

"Hey, Spencer! Come on in, " you greet happily, urging him inside.

He smiles, making his way past you.

Inside, Reid can't help but be impressed by the interior of the house. Everything is organized and not a thing is out of place.

"Sorry, my house is sort of cluttered at the moment since I barely just got home from the store and rushed to tidy it up, " you remark, gesturing to the books scattered on the floor.

*My God... Okay, compliment her on how nice the house looks despite her claims.*

"Oh, I don't think so. In fact, you've done an excellent job in decorating it. You have good tastes. Is that Agatha Christie I see?"

You blush, "Thanks, and yes, it is!"

*Hey, don't forget to hand her those flowers, goof!*

"I know that!" Reid hisses.

This causes you to pause and turn around.

"Did you say something?"

Spencer's eyes widen and he thrusts the bouquet in your face, "N-no! I just wanted to give these to you!"

Your face lights up at the sight of the flowers as you take them from him.

"Aww, you're so sweet! Thanks, but how did you know I liked these?"

He gives you a sheepish smile and shrugs, "Lucky guess?"

Morgan sighs and face-palms.

*Keep it together, man. You got this! Now, go over and help her get that wine glass. Looks like she can't reach it.*

"Here, let me help you with that." He stands behind you, completely catching you off-guard. You squeak, accidentally spilling some of the red liquid on your (f/c) sweater.

"S-Spencer!" you shriek.

Reid backs off, mouth ajar.

"I am so, so sorry, (y/n)!"

A moment of silence passes as you bend over, shaking. Hesitantly, he puts a hand on your shoulder, "(y/n)? A-are you okay?"

You lock eyes with him, tears emerging in the corners of your eyes and a huge grin plastered on your face.

"Haha, wow! I think I died...Yeah, I'm okay! Let me change though."

Morgan snickers as his friend is left speechless.

*Ah, food. I'll leave that to you.*

"Here ya are! I'm not used to cooking for another person so you'll have to forgive me if I did a lousy job," you comment, placing the plate of Chicken Parmesan in front of your date.

The meal is rather quiet, you and Spencer exchanging awkward glances to one another.

That is...

"These are really great breasts, (y/n)! What did you do to them?" he blurts.

Silence, utter silence.

You gawk at him and begin to giggle.

Spencer realizes a little too late what he says and attempts to correct himself, "No, no, no! I meant the chicken breasts! Yeah, chicken breasts..."

Morgan is dying of laughter on the other end.

*Really great breasts, huh? I never knew you to be so bold, Pretty Boy...*

"Shut up..."

*She digs chess? This is the perfect way for you two to bond!*

"Choose your side," you motion to the board.

Taking your seats, you start off with mediocre results.

"So, you've lived in Virginia for a while?" Spencer queries, swapping your pawn with his own.

You narrow your eyes.

"No, I just moved from (city of origin). I've been here for a few months," you say, moving another pawn over.

The game continues with idle chit-chat until he looks up. He goes to say something, but notices you beaming at him. Spencer's so transfixed on you that he fails to notice you capture his king.

*Get a hold of yourself, Reid! She won the game!*

"I am," he mutters, clearly distracted.

You cheer, "Checkmate! I got this one!"

"Uh...."

*How about a movie? You guys can end this disastrous date on a more livelier note.*

As you curl up against Spencer, watching (fave movie), his body goes rigid.

*This is your chance! Look at her lovingly.*

Spencer gulps inaudibly and gazes at your smaller form nestling his shoulder.

*Wrap an arm around her...*

You feel the young man drape an arm around you. You huddle closer to him.

*Grasp her chin slowly...*

Nervously, he uses his slender fingers to tilt your head towards him.

*Be gentle. Kiss her.*

"May I kiss you?"

You rest a hand on his cheek, "You don't need to ask, Spencer..."

Lost in your (e/c) eyes, he leans down and claims your lips with his own.

*Mission Accomplished*

Extended Ending

"Everyone, please give a warm welcome to Special Agent (y/n) (l/n). She's transferred from
the field office in (city) and specializes in violent crimes," Hotch introduces you.

Once the formalities have been established, you wander over to Reid's desk.

"You left this," you say nonchalantly, dropping the earpiece into his hands.

"Smooth moves, Casanova. I'll be seeing you soon," you grin, winking at him before joining Jareau and Greenaway in the break room.

Reid and Morgan make eye contact with each other.

"Damn...."
