So, how is your winter going this year? I don't know about you, but mine's been over before it even began. I had one week of snow in November and that was pretty much it. Seriously, I was walking to my car this evening, and I was like, "Hello, Winter? Where are you?" No snow, no frost, not even much of a chill in the air - I could've gotten away with just a t-shirt, it was that warm.

The only way I can enjoy some frosty, Winter fun is through the medium of art. I feel like I shouldn't focus so much on ideas that put Miguel and Riley together, but I can't help it. This piece continues to follow both of them after , where the two decide to do a personal favourite of Riley's - ice skating.

Now, being on the ice-hockey team in her school, Riley already knows her way around the ice. Miguel, meanwhile, I'm willing to bet has never even seen a pair of skates in his life - let alone wear them. The whole idea behind this was to show a contrast between the characters, where one would have experience where the other would be lacking. So it would only make sense that Miguel, who is ice-skating for the first time in his life, would struggle, while Riley does her best to help him figure it out.

Perhaps, sometime later, Miguel could teach Riley something that he's good at.
