Description

I was in the mood for a piece featuring peril, and this was inspired by an episode of Scooby Doo I vaguely remember, where some members of Mystery Inc find themselves in a similar situation.

Now for some backstory. The PJ Masks spot something unusual in the day, no doubt caused by one of the usual suspects, so go out into the night as superheroes. When they can't find the villain of the episode, the most logical thing to do is split up, because that has worked so well in the past. In true villain fashion, Romeo captures Catboy and Owlette, one after the other. He could just as easily capture Gekko the exact same way, but then the entire series would be over.

Gekko follows the scientist through a maze of underground tunnels, abandoned a long time ago, and finds Romeo's latest scheme to rid himself of the PJ Masks once and for all. He and Robot have chained Catboy and Owlette in the deepest, darkest part of the tunnels, and are building them tombs that will trap them forever. Oh, and he got tired of all their defiant hero talk, so he decided to shut them up with some gags.

Meanwhile, Gekko lies in wait, both pondering a plan to save his friends and also the severe lack of originality on Romeo's part.

I guess it's time for Gekko to be a hero.
