If you've been on the Internet as long as I have, every once in a while you stumble across one of those phenomenon that gets everybody's attention. In this case, it's the creepypasta known as the Backrooms: a seemingly endless world that most people access by accident, having clipped their way out of existence.

I couldn't help but combine this with Nate is Late.

Nate and Malika were walking to school once again, determined not to be late again like the last hundred times. As they take their usual route through the park, they think they might finally avoid an unexpected delay when the two friends suddenly fall through the ground and end up in a chaotic world of humming lights, bland wallpaper and tacky carpet. Looks like our two unlikely heroes are going to have to find an exit, avoid whatever lurks within this unpredictable place, and hopefully get to school on time. They're going to have a real tough time explaining this one to Principal Prudence...
