Description
With 75 states in this timeline, there would be a lot more electoral votes. So, I made a map.In the Senate, there would be 150 Senators.
In the House, there would be 588 Representatives with full voting privileges.
There would be 738 electoral votes, and you would need 370 to win.
The organization of the red states/blue states in Canada, Mexico is just my hypothesis. I predicted that if the new southern states of Rio Grande, Yucatan, Cuba, Bahamas, Haiti, Dominica and Puerto Rico were admitted to the Union in the early to mid 1800's, they would begin a similar shift as Georgia to the Democrats, as well as due to greater level of immigration to these states in this alternate timeline. Likewise, I predicted that states like Florida, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas would be more conservative due to receiving comparatively less immigration then in our timeline. However, I did not shift electoral vote counts to reflect this. The attitudes towards immigration in these states would likely be different if they were not border states. Of course, this opinion is subjective, so let me know how you would categorize them differently, in a nice and polite way of course.
The Democrats would still be at an advantage in this timeline, as the Republicans have a greater uphill battle to reach 370.
I organized the electoral votes of the states on either red state, swing state (purple) or blue states. Here is the list:
