Description
Original character art. Scanned from a brushpen sketch and painted.Β
Β While the exaggeration of limb length was intentional, I believe that more can be done to add realism to this work. Help with the correction of lighting and proportion would be much appreciated. Any suggestions in relation to texturing would also be wonderful.

This is amazing! I love the fragility of the wallpaper, with stars shining through; I love the texture of the floorboards, of her hair and dress; and the way you have modelled her arms and legs, especially her hands, is beautiful! She looks so weightless; it's like a dreamscape, somewhere between a nightmare and a Gaiman setting. Her dress is also beautifully done! :3

Thanks- I love the parallel to a setting in a Neil Gaiman work. Although it's an unintentional similarity, I suppose that does capture the intended spirit of the thing

I like this a lot. It's really striking and kind of majorly creeps me out haha. I love your coloring of the background and her body, but the hair and the nose throw me off just a bit. The nose just seems a little unbalanced and cartoonish (in contrast to the highly realistic style of the rest of her) and the hair (especially around her scalp) could use a bit of depth. I know you didn't ask for a critique but you gave me a really good one so hopefully this returns the favor.Β
Awesomeee job overall.

Thank you- I agree with all your points. I still need to go back and work on this painting some more, but I'll be taking your comments into special consideration when I do so. I'm working on a few others at once- but exams have really slowed my progress :/
