I bet a bunch of people copy stuff like this but tbf its just to show off how hard you work in survival. I do it on survival just to mock the masses with their poorly built homes.

I did try making like a dwarven fortress underground at the level where you mine diamonds. It did had a mineshaft tho. It was epic. I did make some out of blackstone.

The building in the foreground is a viking longhouseΒ (built as historically accurate as Minecraft allows) where I lived, did most of my crafting, stored stuff and housed my animals. The house in the cliff behind it I started building because the shape of the stone in the cliff looked so house shaped I decided that I might as well put an actual house there. It wasn't safe to live in that house though as the design of the window on the left there allowed hostile mobs to wander in occasionally. A problem that I don't think I ever got to fix as I lost this world just days after taking the screenshot if memory serves me right.
