I've been following the Remake announcement since before the E3 2015. I already knew the remake was going to show up due to some leak of a legit source, and I was pretty excited. The recent news about a multi-episodic game worries me much, but I still have some faith that Square will make the best decisions possible.

Well, FFVII RE will be released in episodic format. So we should expect something like FFXIII, where we get XIII-2 and XIII-3. Some people are expeculating that each part will represent each disc in the original on PSX, but we're still waiting for further info about that.

Honestly, I'm not into the newer ones so much.
Like Lightning -- I liked her, and I own the game but I didn't play it.
Like, so many spoilers happened on tumblr and via friends.
& Honestly I have to like at least half the party, and I didn't feel those characters.
But FF7 has been my favorite for so long.
I love almost every character from that series.
I just remember wishing when I'd play the ps version they would just re-make the game in HD quality,
and now... it was like my prayer had been answered! I didn't think they'd ever do it. I'm so excited.

Yeah, early FF have more unique characters imo, and the VII was the most iconic for so may people, myself included. I have my hopes high for FFVII remake, and I hope each episode will fullfill most expectations. Can't wait to see a launch date or something.

I feel the exact same way.
I like the cartoony menu's and the mickey glove pointer and stuff like that.
The realism is beautiful, but just not the same.
