This is incredible! I love the mix of highly saturated jewel tones and more muted colors, and the textures-- the amazing textures! From the thumbnail i thought this was stained glass. i am awed that it is oil!

I was worried about the problem of motion in this case.
Any kind of objects moves to the left side of a painterly surface much easier, by my opinion.
This problem is even reflected in the title: the subject had resisted.

I think you've done a brilliant job of creating movement in this painting. The defined lines created in this piece actually give a definite sense of movement and direction. Lines can certainly, at times, block or prohibit any sense of flow in a painting, but I certainly do not think that has happened at all in "Resistance.2012" Well done!
