"That's enough!" Yugi exclaimed as he freed himself from Yami's grasp, earning himself a very puzzling look from Yami. Yugi was getting a little annoyed that Yami was clinging to him too much. "You're clinging to me too much! I need some space, okay?! Can you just please go away?!"

Yami, feeling hurt and offended, decided to play it cool and tease Yugi just a little. "As you wish, my master," he said, mocking a hurtful voice. And with a smirk left on his face, he disappeared back into the Millennium Puzzle.

Finally Yugi could get dressed in peace, but he couldn't help but feel bad for what he said to Yami, who was only trying to help. But no one could help him, especially with his bullying problem. Sure, Joey told him he could turn to him if he had any problems, but Joey would never be able to stand up to HIM. The biggest and baddest of the bullies, the one who made even the teachers quiver in fear when they saw him, the one who got his ways all the time, the one who could possibly grind your bones into dust if you aggravated him enough, the King of Bullies himself: Ushio.

Yugi shuddered at the name. 'Ushio…' he thought to himself. 'He was more of a monster than a man. He could even make the toughest man on Earth cower in fear!'

As he slipped into his white T-shirt he normally wore under his school uniform, he heard his name outside the door. "Hey! Yugi? You ready for school?" called the voice from outside the door.

'Who is that?' Yugi asked himself as he put his uniform jacket on. 'It's not Grandpa, that's for sure.' He quickly flung the Millennium Puzzle around his neck and dashed over to his door to meet the stranger. He slowly opened the door and looked up to see a blonde hair boy looking down at him with light brown eyes.

"Joey!" Yugi exclaimed like he just discovered something new. "What are you doing here?"

"Just checkin' to see how ya doin'," Joey responded as he placed a hand on Yugi's forehead. "Looks like your fever's gone down. That's good. How's your throat?"

Yugi placed his hand on his throat and smiled. He smiled because it was Yami who made his throat feel much better. His hand moved up to his lips and they tingled at the touch of his fingers. He was trying to think of an excuse for why his throat got better in the past few hours and telling Joey that the genie who was living in the Millennium Puzzle cured him would make him sound crazy.

"Actually my throat feels much better," he said. "Thanks to that medicine Grandpa gave me."

"Medicine, huh?" questioned Joey. Yugi froze as he noticed the hint of doubtfulness in Joey's voice, but he was just imagining. Joey looked at Yugi and compared his face to that of a deer in the headlights and he couldn't but laugh. "Oh, Yug', your face is priceless! If only I had a mirror to show ya!"

Yugi just pouted. He really didn't like it when people made of him, but this time it was different. His facial expression changed to a look of surprise then he couldn't help but let out a little laugh.

"Aha! I knew it! You do know how to laugh!" Joey exclaimed like he discovered something new. He hooked his arm around the back of Yugi's neck and pulled him in. "And Téa told me you lost your laugh a long time ago, but I knew you still had some left somewhere in you." He gave Yugi a playful punch across Yugi's cheek and Yugi just giggled.

"Thanks, Joey," Yugi said to him.

"Eh, no problem, Yug'," Joey said as he unhooked his arm. "Now how 'bout we get to school. I don't want another detention until the end of da week."

The two friends walked down to the Game Shop and out the door. Yugi's grandpa was outside sweeping away the dust like he normally did each morning before he opened the game shop.

"Grandpa, I'll see you later!" Yugi called out to him as he began to walk in the direction of school with Joey next to him.

"See ya, Gramps!" Joey called to him.

Grandpa stood there with the broom in his hand and smiled as he watched his grandson walk off into the distance with his new friend. "It's good to see that Yugi has finally found a friend."
