Description Wait... what?
She finally did it?
She submitted her tutorial which is actually finished since more than half a year? (I just had to put everything together... but I'm sooo lazy XD)

I DID IT!
And it was so much work! XD This thing here almost killed me. But I hope it can help you! >3<
I tried my best to explain everything x.x If you have got any questions feel free to ask.

OK I'M DONE XD

Thanks to and who helped me correcting mistakes XD
If you see any of them: I don't care XD (it was so much work!!!)

MEDIA USED: Faber Castel Polychromo Color Pencils
Character: Michiru Kaioh (c) Naoko Takeuchi
Bishojo Senshi Sailor Moon

F.A.Q.

Hope you like it

Mistakes I saw too late:
I wrote "grey" wrong... WTH. Three times! WHY?
Somewhere I wrote techniques wrong.

EDIT: OK thank you, some of you told me that both spellings gray and grey are right. XD THANKS <3

----

Sorry people! >.< This time I just don't manage to answer all comments ;3; I'd love to but there are too many of them! I read every single comment and appreciate it!

PS: If you want to buy some of that stuff, I'd recommend to search on amazon.com!

Would this work with ordinary Crayola coloring pencils? I'm on a tight budget and that's all I can afford...
(I would LOVE to get those coloring pencils that you have...it made your pic look so pretty~! ^^ )

Of course. It's about the technique, not about the pencils you use!

Well, actually everything is written down in the tutorial. Please read it. There's nothing more that I do than everything I mentioned there.

Thanks for the tutorial. I just bought a pack of colored pencils and I had no idea how to color my drawings (I usually color my digital drawings, not the traditional ones) so this is very helpful!

Your welcome. Another thing, I don't have artist colored pencils. I have regular colored pencils (like this WalMart kind) and I was wondering if I could use those rather than buying another set of colored pencils.

Most colour pencils are fine, just use those you like to use :3

TawnyTyto [2013-04-22 21:13:23 +0000 UTC]

What do you mean when you say "Fix with light cobalt turquoise" What do you mean by Fix? Also, when your coloring the skin and dress do you go over the whole dress with the lightest blue? (Or lightest color for the skin) Like, you don't leave any parts totally white right? If you (Or anyone else who knows the answer), please answer this? I'm very new to colored pencils. Thank you

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

YueYuki In reply to TawnyTyto [2013-04-23 22:35:49 +0000 UTC]

Fixing is just what you said with going over the whole dress or skin! :3 But that's something you should do by instinct ^^ It's just to make sure there are no white parts left because of the paper structure. Sometimes it's enough not to go over the whole dress (or anything) but sometimes you need to to make it look good :3 It's all practise as well x3 If you're new to colour pencils, just try it out! :3
Hope I could help x3

your tutorial was really helpful ^^..Thank you
If I may ask,do you always need special paper for your colors to work?I use staedtler color pencils on a moleskin notebook and it was really difficult to just get the color to show up on the page.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

YueYuki In reply to whitematterartist [2013-04-07 16:25:53 +0000 UTC]

Ah you're welcome, I'm glad it helped!
You do not necessarily need a special paper, but though, some sorts of paper arent that good. But Moleskin is a good brand, so there shouldn't be any problem with that!
Stadler... I think steadler mostly isn't that good. A friend of mine uses a Staedler crayon to colour the skin, but the colours aren't very strong as it seems. I do still prefer Farber Castell :3
