Actually if you recall the GT series where Cell absorbs Goku but Goku gets back out, his exact words were "Whoa I almost got digested in there" I dont think it works the same way for humans if Cell decides to devour them whole. So Gohan would very well be able to kick Cell's ass again but as for Videl I think they'd be having to wish her back, cause I wouldnt want to see what was left of Videl if Cell regurgitated her xD

Fair enough I agree, but even without GT's interpretation it's 's still a logical enough conclusion considering he sucked his human victims dry, he's got no reason to keep Videl alive inside him, she would naturally be digested and her essence would just add to his power. But, meh I know it's a bit literal, I guess that's where the imagination part comes in xD

well, the way absorbtion seems to work, and the way that he drains the humans seem completely different. He drains the humans as if he sucks their innerds out, he absorbs as if he swallows them whole.
and the way that he absorbed the androids, it seems that they could be saved, so why wouldnt videl be able to?

The way I look at it, is Cell normally doesn't bother absorbing humans whole, when he can just suck the life out of them, their organic so he's able to drain their life essence and add to his own, now on the off chance he did devour a human whole, since he didn't suck the life out of them, he could improvise by just breaking them down instead digesting their body and taking their energy. Androids are different he needs their power to harness but he cant digest or break down the Android, instead keeping them inside him, they serve as a catalyst of power, forever leeching off of it, I guess the reason 18 could be saved is because she isn't Organic, she's synthetic otherwise he would just suck the Androids dry just like he does with humnas but in Videl's case.. organics are just consumed entirely

I know but what I'm saying she is "organic" flesh and blood, he has no reason to keep her alive inside him, he only does it to the Android because he HAS to, their SYNTHETIC, too much machine to be broken down and their energy is ever lasting, Videl's energy is limited, so like the victims who just had their life source drained from them, he would just break her down instead, digesting her body and taking her energy in the process, he has no reason to keep a human alive inside him, when their energy isn't ever lasting. Once their energy was drained it was just be like this lifelesss human sitting inside him? If a human was unfortunate to get devoured whole by Cell, he'd mostly like drain all their energy and digest their body for food or just for spite, he's definitely evil enough

Either way, I guess people look at it in different perspectives, we never see what happens to them inside, we don't how his bodily functions work, so all we can do is speculate... and thats why sites like this exist.. It's some impressive art work at the end of the day, and this is the only way the DBZ Legacy lives on.

Btw when Cell pierces them with his tail an absorbs their energy leaving their clothes behind, its steal "Absorbtion" he just absorbs the Anroids differently because their bio-mechanical
